LIT@JSC
WITH SISTER SPIT
The Jon Sims Center for the Arts is pleased to present LIT @ JSC,
the Bay Area's first ongoing queer literary reading series in a non-commercial
setting. In March, LIT @ JSC will feature Sister Spit, San Francisco's
notorious, outrageous collective of lesbian poets, writers and spoken
word artists. Michelle Tea, Sini Anderson, Tara Hardy, Marci Blackman,
Dodie Bellamy and Sara Gina Jones will each be performing selections
from recent writings. Come experience the funk and the fire on Thursday
March 15 at 8:00pm at the Jon Sims Center for the Arts, 1519 Mission
Street in San Francisco. Admission is a sliding scale of $5-$10, though
no one will be turned away for lack of funds. The reading will be
followed by a Q&A with the artists, a book signing and a reception.
For more information and reservations, please call 415 554-0402. Please
check out our web site at: www.jonsimsctr.org
LIT @ JSC is made possible by the generous funding of the Horizons
Foundation. This event is supported by Poets & Writers, Inc. through
a grant it has received from The James Irvine Foundation. |
